INVEST IN THE YOUTH CAMPAIGN
Why are we doing this?
Our organization quote is “Go fast, Go alone. Go far, Go together”-African Proverb. The youth in our community are in desperate need of a serious investment for their current circumstances and their futures. A majority of the youth are lacking essential life skills, knowledge, tools and resources to foster their growth. Ask yourself this question: Do the youth who are struggling in life have an alternative that our community offers? If the answer is no, then we cannot completely place the blame on them. If the youth are the future, if they are to become better and add to our legacies, then we must invest and invest now.
How will we do this?
Outta The Box is the answer! We are the fastest growing nonprofit in our community. Outta The Box is not about any individual or individuals, it is about all of us. Our vision, goal and mission are to make a true lasting impact in our communities. Our programs and services are fostering growth in our community. Through many conversations and research, the youth have shared, and we have found that they are struggling in critical essential areas of life. These conversations and research identified three areas of need for the youth. 1. A Social Community 2. Mentorship 3. Education 3. Voice. We have designed programs and services to meet these critical needs. Below are our programs:
Boyz II Men and Elegant Queens
These programs are our social and mentoring programs for young Men and Women. In these programs the participants find a healthy community of peers, receive ongoing mentorship and network with one another. These programs include fun, adventures and educational activities, where the youth enjoy themselves, while also receiving mentorship.
Outta The Box Podcast
This is a platform created for the youth to have their voices heard; to have honest conversations about their life stories, the dynamics of our society, and the ever-changing world. It is also a platform where experts and influencers from different aspects of life give virtual information and resources.
Entry program
This is a program that focuses on the practical knowledge, tools and skills that the youth critically need to improve their lives. This program has multiple educational and practical courses in a variety of topics and subjects. Most of these subjects and topics are not offered anywhere else. A few of these courses and topics are: Trade Schools, Financial Literacy and Healthy Living.
All of these programs we created to empower, equip and deploy the participants into our society to make meaningful contributions and live a life worth living.
What is our ask?
As mentioned before, it is time to start investing in the youth. It is not a want; it is a need. We are asking for a monthly recurring donation that will fund the programs listed above. We are asking for a minimum of $100 a month. Remember, if we want to go far, we need to go together.
